Carryduff 08’s continued their impressive form with another hard fought game against Hillsborough Boys 08’s at Hydebank on Saturday 11th March.
Despite wet and windy conditions, the boys battled all game and scored some great goals.
Luke S was absolutely fantastic yet again in nets, keeping another clean sheet and making some really impressive saves, particularly on a few dangerous 1 v 1 situations. His shot stopping was also fantastic!
Danny was the heartbeat of the defence all game and put the Hillsborough Boys attack under relentless pressure, breaking up attacks and driving us out from the back all game.
Jack played in defence with Danny in the first period and worked hard at pressing and stopping the Hillsborough attack. In the second half he moved into midfield and scored a great hat trick!
Ben worked hard in both defence and midfield and was a great outlet for Luke S to start off many of the Carryduff moves from the back.
Ciaran worked tirelessly all game on the right wing – tracking back to help the defence and driving forward at will with great strength and pace. It was his vision with 3 players around him to pass to Jack for one of his goals that was really impressive!
Owen dominated the midfield all game – his strength, pace and power was fantastic and his determination to win the ball is second to none.
Rhys opened the scoring in the first half with a fantastic right foot shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner, leaving the Hillsborough keeper with no chance. And he played really well in defence in the second period!
Liam worked tirelessly all game in both midfield and defence – he was determined and battled hard and scored a super free kick !!
