Carryduff 2008’s played Hillsborough Boys in a cracking game on Saturday 20th February 2016.
Noah, Luke M, Ben, Owen and Jack played 3 periods of outstanding football against one of the league’s top teams and won the game by a few goals after a fantastic finish.
Noah was defender extraordinaire today with great strength and determination stopping a very strong Hillsborough team on many attacks. He also scored a few long range rockets and a few lovely finishes after beating a few players with great skill!
Ben played his best ever game today for Carryduff and was fantastic playing in a sweeper role, reading the game superbly and relentlessly tackling and setting up a lot of Carryduff attacks. He also scored some fantastic goals, particularly the one that he curled in to the top right corner!!
Luke M was a midfield enforcer today – he played box to box, defending and attacking and his determination today was absolutely superb to watch. Luke also scored a lot of goals with some fantastic skill and finishing!!
Jack was back to his best today. His determination in defending from the front was brilliant today, often intercepting Hillsborough passes and finishing with style. He was skipping past defenders today on both wings and set up a few goals with some great passes. Jack’s shooting boots were on today and he finished the game with a lot of goals.
Owen was our usual midfield dynamo today, running the show from centre midfield. His strength, skill, pace and finishing is absolutely brilliant to watch. He was relentless in tackling and winning the ball and even more relentless in attack – we lost count of how many he scored!
What a performance by the 2008 kids!!!
