In a very hard fought match, the Carryduff Colts 2008’s came away with a win against tough opposition. Ciaran, Luke and Danny were fantastic in defence, keeping a very skilful Andersonstown Celtic team at bay and setting up many attacks in which Jack, Ben and Rafe finished off. The boys battled hard all match and played some superb football, particularly in the third period when they scored a few without reply and really started to dominate the game.
Jack and Luke covered every part of the pitch, defending and pressing the Andersonstown Celtic team when they weren’t in possession of the ball and breaking away in attack to score on a few occasions. Ciaran and Danny were rock solid, composed and tough tackling in defense and both scored a great goal from distance to keep Carryduff in the lead. Ben and Rafe both played in nets at various points in the match and made some fantastic saves to keep Carryduff in the game in the first and second period when the game was very tight, and both scored some great goals in attack. It was an all-round team performance with every player giving their all in a tough game but the determination and efforts of the boys paid off!
