Carry Colts got off to a sluggish start with Immaculata having most of the play in the early encounters. Carryduff defence struggled with the physical presence of the Immaculata forward line. With 15 minutes gone Immaculata struck with a well taken goal.
This seemed to stir the Colts into life and a number of good chances were created. Carryduff had a claim for a penalty turned down by the ref when Cian McDonnell was pushed well inside the penalty box. The first half ended with Immaculata 1 up.
The second half started brighter for Carryduff with a number of attacks from the whistle. Rory Thompson was very unlucky with a one on one with the Immaculata keeper. Carryduff should have had a penalty when Conor Mulgrew was upended in the box following a sustained period of excellent play. With 5 minutes remaining the Immaculata centre forward shrugged off 3 tackles and stuck a magnificent shot into the roof of the net from outside the 18 yard box, which gave the Carryduff no chance of stopping.
Final result was 2 nil to Immaculata.
