Celtic Boys 0 v 2 Carryduff Colts

In this rearranged Round 2 game The Colts came out flying from the first whistle.

After 2 minutes it was the lively Sherry playing through the middle of a 3 along side Maynes and McNally who opened the scoring with a clinical finish.

That rocked Celtic from their stride and with the middle 3 of Cassidy McBride and Coyle bossing the midfield it was not long before the lead was extended.

Once again it was Sherry showing composure from 6 yards out slotting the ball home 0-2.

The Colts saw out the first half with not much fuss mainly due to excellent defending by the back four of Sweeney O’Toole McDonnell and Bracken.

The second half started brightly for the home team but The Colts stood their ground and were determined to hold on to the two goal lead.

McCann in goals pulled off a great one handed save to keep his second clean sheet in a row.

Three subs came on in Rafferty Brownlee and Turkington as The Colts changed to a ‘4-4-2’ formation to see the game out and progress to Round 3.
