A fantastic display by the 2007 Colts team this week
Carryduff Colts 2007s ran out winners on Saturday 12th March at a very entertaining match at Lisburn Leisureplex against a strong Hillsborough Tigers team.
The game started at a fast pace with some excellent defensive work by Oscar and Ryan C to keep Hillsborough Tigers at bay, however they took the lead initially and the Colts knew they had to respond.
Carryduff kept pressing while under some strong pressure. James and Ben combined in midfield and communicated very well with each other. Harry played up front and scored a fantastic goal, which the Hillsborough keeper had no chance of stopping
In the second period, Dominik ran at the Hillsborough teams defenders and tried to beat players at every opportunity – you could see the Colts team were becoming more confident by the minute. Peter also ran at the Hillsborough team and also scored a fantastic long-range shot. Matthew proved to be a rock in defence whenever the Hillsborough team attacked. Ryan O had an excellent game in midfield.
Keelan covered every blade of grass and displayed some excellent defensive work whilst also making some great passes.

In the third period with the Colts just edging it, Hillsborough came back sharply but because of Dominik’s excellent shot stopping they found it difficult to score.
The Colts team defended superbly for the last 5 minutes and with the clock ticking down broke quickly to score again before the referee blew the final whistle.
A great game by this 2007 Colts team who have come so far and have a lot to be proud of. The game was played in a great spirit by both the Colts team and Hillsborough Tigers. Well done to all involved.
