The Lions in roaring form!
The Lions were incredible in SBYL’s U11’s fixture at Hanwood yesterday evening. And recent transfers Ben and David showed just how well they have settled into the team. Ben, a natural left footer, adapted to the right back to dominate in defence while pressing forward at every opportunity. David showed his versatility, playing in a number of positions and even managed to find the back of the net.
James, Cameron and Matthew owned the midfield allowing Dara (this week’s captain) and Noah to press forward in striker positions.
Niall and Charlie controlled the centre back line and nets, interchanging seamlessly at half time. Peter from left back showed tremendous pace, tracking back while managing to score a hat trick. Other scorers included James, Dara, Cameron and David.
Everyone passed and communicated well putting in a great performance against a very strong team who showed great sportsmanship through out. Lots of FUN had by all involved and everyone put in a fantastic performance even the linesman Phil!

The Lions from the 2006-year group train each Friday from 6.30 to 8pm at Cooke from Friday 23rd September – and there are still places available in this and other year group all children (boys and girls) of all ability are welcome to join us.
