Carryduff U15 3 – Carnmoney Colts 1

Carryduff U15 3 - 1 Carnmoney Colts
15 Oct 2016 - 09:30Lough Moss
A good start we should have taken an early lead chances fell to Declan Magee and Rory Timoney but they fired just wide of the post with the keeper beaten.

Joseph Tolan had a good effort just wide after a strong run down the right he beat two men and hit a shot just wide of the left hand post.

We opened the scoring after a quickly taken corner by Eugene Hale he found Harry Graham who picked out Aidan Martin with a lovely floated ball to the back post and Aidan did the rest.

The second goal came after Declan Magee picked up the ball on the half way line and played a super ball curling to the left for Eugene Hale to run onto draw the keeper  and calmly slot home.

Carnmoney came back at us and scored from a good delivery from a free kick into the box which was well meet with a firm header giving Ewan Wilson in goal no chance.

We had a few missing today but still looked very sharp Jude Lynam in for the injured Chris Blaney played very well at centre back as did Joe Tolan at right back.

Odhran Sherry played well down the right flank and was unlucky not to pick out Jamie Wilkinson after a neat flick took him away from his marker he then put the ball past him and beat him for pace and put a good delivery across but just couldnt pick out Jamie.

Declan Magee had a good effort just wide after good play from Marc McCann to put Gary Topping away he picked out a super ball which Declan meet with his head and was unlucky to see his effort go wide.

Eugene Hale  was put clear by a super reverse ball from Marc McCann only for the defender to get a good block in to deny him adding to his tally.

Carnmoney did force Ewan Wilson into a couple of fine saves one from a well taken free kick which he did well to hold onto and another he came out and stood up tall to delay the attacker and Jamie Wilkinson came back to clear.

However we made the game safe when Harry Graham who was excellent again combined with Eugene Hale down the left Eugene  cut inside and smashed an unstopable shot into the top corner from 25 yards for 3 – 1.

Well done boys into the next round.
